Soon into my career as a teacher and coach I took a deep dive into sport and performance psychology in an effort to learn how to get the most out of my teams and athletes (and students). The more I got into it, the more I wished I had these resources and tools as an athlete. I had a good career, but I couldn’t help but think how much better it would have been knowing what I know now about the mental side of the game. I spent time in Australia and New Zealand learning from schools that do Positive Education, a philosophy that helps fuel human flourishing. Soon after my return in 2018 I was diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer. My experience in sport and my practices developed through mindfulness, sport, and positive psychology were critical to my overcoming this challenge. It has became my mission to create content and resources for students, athletes, coaches, teams and anyone who wants to get the most out of themselves through combining high performance and well-being.
I am also Founder of Mindful Performance, LLC, where I consult with high school and college sports teams and coaches as well as individual athletes through various programs. This includes working with Boston Childrens Hospital’s Cardiac Fitness Program to integrate mental skills development into their training. I specialize in the intersection of sport psychology and positive psychology to teach and coach well-being and thriving along with high performance (showing they are not mutually exclusive). Want to join the team? Let’s do this!
MY NORTH STAR:
To inspire many, one person at a time.
THE MINDFUL PERFORMANCE MISSION:
To supply people with tools that promote greater well-being and thriving – in school, on the playing fields, and in their life as a whole.

CONNECTION THROUGH CHALLENGES
In April of 2018 I was diagnosed with cancer. In the spirit of mental training and hoping to help other cancer patients and their families, I have started blog and resource page as I go through the treatment process, called “Flippin’ Cancer”.
